Great to walk across the iconic bridge

Was great to walk across the bridge, got an uber to the other side and walked back. Lovely weather, see for miles, great photos of the bridge, water, alcatraz and skyline.

The last time I visited my friend and I walked halfway across the bridge. Far enough to see both coast lines - especially the Sausalito side which is usually hard to see. It was windy and cook but not uncomfortable. I would do it again in a minute.

Number one rule, bring a jacket or two. It is amazingly windy on the bridge. We went across the bridge on a partly cloudy 65 degree afternoon, and we should have worn more layers than we did. The damp wind was rough, and this is coming from a Midwesterner who loves cold temps! The photos I took with the cloudy... More

Since our last family vacation. They have improved traffic around the presidio. They have added trails to help preserve the nature. Trails give you up close personal views of this great bridge. Dress warm because it gets very cold. My kids still call it the cold bridge.

I was pretty disappointed in the bridge. It's not the biggest in San Fran, and certainly not as "vibrant" as pictures make it out to be. Nothing special.

Got the bus to the start of the bridge where there is a car park, cafe plus a toilet block. We walked across the bridge from one end to the other and back. Found the walk very easy. Some nice veiws of San Francisco from up there especially on a clear day. I was surprised though that it is not... More

Prior to visiting the GGB, or for anyone who is interested, I would recommend watching the documentary, "The Bridge". It deals with the GGB as the world's most popular suicide destination. A word of caution, it's too sad for words. As I type this, I see off to the side that another reviewer has the GGB on their 'bucket list'.... More

Took a bus for 2.50usd it will stop exactly at the bridge tourist information center where there will be a free guided tour every thursday at 11am. Or you can choose to just walk slow around.
