Rode over the bridge on a tour of Frisco. Beautiful views of the bay and Alcatraz Island. Can't possibly leave the area without experiencing this landmark!

As keen walkers we decided to go on foot from Fisherman's Wharf. This is a 3.5 mile walk each way, but it is a lovely walk. The bridge gradually comes into view and you pass interesting sights along the way, including Crissy Field. However, the...More

The bridge is very long and so if you do not want to walk across try a bike ride across it. Best time to go is between 10am - 12noon. Aug can be foggy so views may be obstructed. However a great view from all...More

Since this is landmark in SF. It's a must do. I happen to be here on a weekend and it was great weather with little bit of Sun and lit bit of clouds. I got an awesome view of the bridge. People can actually bring...More

That hasn't been said before by everyone - it's a national treasure and spectacular. Only bummer is when the Bay is fogged in and the Bridge not really visible

To be honest I don’t think that this bridge was a big deal but it’s of course nice to have seen this famous bridge. It is of course an impressive piece of construction and looks impressive as a port into San Francisco. We choose to...More

We disembarked from the Big Bus over the bridge and walked back over the bridge.. Easy walk with magic views. Only issue was trying to get back to our accommodation. The Big Bus did not stop there but local buses do. Huge queues so we...More

Breathtaking a scenic worth the trip to drive and photograph. Not an all day excursion because it is only a bridge. Bring a jacket and scarf.

Totally worth the trip, but pack a coat and lots of warm clothes. We walked here from the wharf and it was a great walk.

The Golden Gate Bridge is definitely worth seeing up close for a better sense of the engineering behind the structure and the beautiful views.

Personally I would do a Hop on Hop off double decker bus tour (Grey Line) and take the tour of the city which includes a stop at the bridge. Busses run about every half hour so you'll have flexibility to walk around. You... More

No you won't have any time to leave the airport and see it. Normally the approach for landings is from the east so you also won't be able to see it from there. However, if you're lucky you might be able to catch a glimpse... More

The bridges have different tolls & each Bridge has off peak & on peak tolls. So tolls vary a lot. That being said, each Bridge has a "fast pass" lane, a "car pool" lane, & a "cash" lane. Fast pass is an electronic way to... More
