    Love Ghirardelli!
The views were amazing, felt like the safest place down by the wharf, we spend our entire weekend there. Brunch at The Palette Teahouse, pricey but amazing. Happy hour and two dinners at Mccormicks, also fantastic, they cater to birthdays nicely too., Beers at San Fran Brewery. Some chocolate of course. It saved our trip since the rest of the wharf was very run down. Lots of restaurants closed.

Bought dessert and chocolate at Ghirardelli Square chocolate store
During our trip to San Francisco not long ago, we bought some chocolate and also had a dessert too. The dessert was so good, sweet and delicious. The chocolate was also good too with lovely packaging. Staff were helpful in helping me choose my dessert. Definitely recommend coming here when you visit San Francisco.

It is one of the best and should be on the list. It is already in the middle of the popular piers, and top attractions, and close to the East Coast. It is quite a delightful gathering area to hang out, and particularly to experience the popular and amazing Ghirardelli chocolate products.

Big hit for the entire family
I haven’t been here in years and it’s just as fabulous as I remember. The square has numerous cute shops (they don’t open until 11am) and Ghirardelli (the ice cream shop) opens at 9am. Later in the day, Ghirardelli is packed… everywhere. The square, the shops and the ice cream shop. We went at 10am and had no wait for ice cream (yes, we did this for breakfast - when in Rome or on vacation!) and were able to walk around the ice cream shop and square without the craziness that comes later in the day. We also had a toddler with us and later in the day would have made for a miserable experience for all of us. And it was a big hit for our teenager- ice cream for breakfast, all things chocolate… winning!

Take a Waymo, have some lunch and it's the perfect afternoon.
There are some excellent restaurants here! What a great place to walk around and browse through some quaint tourist shops. It's a nice place to spend some time. We took a Waymo self driving Jaguar here and that was the perfect way to travel to this chocolate palace.

    Chocolate heaven
The home of the hot fudge sundae, delicious chocolate heaven. There are other eateries at Ghirardellis square and we had a pub lunch of fish and chips then into Ghirardellis for dessert and the chocolate shop. The chocolate squares are special and we managed to get some home as gifts. Expensive but you're paying for the quality which is second to none!

    Overcrowded and overpriced
When I researched what to see in San Francisco this place was very recommended to visit. I don't think if you would miss it it will be a great deal. It's more than crowded, there are many restaurants and shops but when we wanted to buy a drink or chocolate we would need to stay in a long row - and everything was over priced. The only think we enjoyed was the view to Aquatic Cove. There are many other places in the city worth to visit.

    Glad we stopped
Tour guide pointed this out the day prior. Decided to stop on our adventures. Some very nice shops and restaurants as well as some fun activities (mini golf/arcade). Great way to spend some free time

What an anticlimactic experience. Basically just a store with all Ghiradelli products, which is the same stuff you can find all over the city. Once you walk all the way down there you're kinda cornered with nowhere else to go except back where you came from. Waste of time unless you're just wanting to get your steps in or break in some shoes.

This mall is centered around Ghirardelli souvenir shops and restaurant cafes, and is home to a plaza and several souvenir shops selling items other than Ghirardelli.
There are also toilets.

The guidebook says that chocolate is cheaper at convenience stores than here, but there is by far a wider variety here.

There is a 10% off notice on the back of the cable car ticket, so if you have one, make sure to make good use of it.

There are so many things to do and great treats to eat at this chocolate-based site. Besides shops and restaurants, there are beautiful views of the bay, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge.

This is not a spot to visit for the budget conscious traveler...especially if you are traveling with chocolate fans.

Went here hoping to get some chocolate and hang out in a well-known area for tourists. Instead, the "chocolate experience" was closed, the ice cream parlor wanted $14 for a sundae and the beer garden cost like $20 for two drinks. I know it's San Francisco and everything is expensive, but this just felt a little absurd. It was also very crowded.

We had to stop Ghirardelli Square to have ice cream for dinner. We each had to scoop Sundays with syrup whip cream and I lost my cherry. Dinner for two here was $30. It felt a little more disorganized than usual, there were lines in all different directions, a lot of people standing around & I even asked a child standing next to our table to please put a mask on. Our table wasn’t cleared, so I used our menus as placemats. Our ice cream was served in plastic, with a lid we got our own napkins and phones. It just didn’t taste as good as usual not that we didn’t finish every single drop.

Chocolate, Chocolate, and more CHOCOLATE! Fulfill your cocoa dreams here in this square filled with local shops and cafes geared towards tourists. We stopped in for a free chocolate sample before splurging in the gift shop on chocolate bars, brownie mixes, and hot cocoas. Definitely make sure to stop by to satisfy your chocolate fix!

Raving about the parking. Really easy to park. Got directions on google gps and it was perfect. Don't forget to buy something at Ghiradelli Square (chocolate!) and get a validation ticket. Parking is normally $30 but only $14 with validation ticket!!

A little pricey, but interesting history. There are some high end restaurants and shops, a few bars, and of course, a chocolate ice cream shop on each end. Tip, the back end is far less crowded than the front end and has the same menu.

I highly recommend the drinking chocolate, or the local specialty sundaes.

A wonderful tourist experience. Definitely in the hun of a tourist trap but worth the experience. The Ice cream was divine and chocolate aplenty of course. A hot fudge sundae was $16 for one scoop of ice cream. Souvenirs were minimal.
