I stopped by on a Sunday and they had a bunch of artists displaying their work in the Music Concourse areas - such a nice surprise! I could have spent all day exploring the park, but had to get to Sonoma. I'll definitely go back!

A large Botanical garden that was very pleasant even in the winter. It is well maintained and peaceful. The various "parts of the world" sections are a great idea. Worth a visit any time.

We stopped here on Christmas Day and it so happened to be a free day. The park was incredibly busy with visitors even though it was a cold day and a bit wet out. I can imagine this botanical garden being very pretty when the flowers are in full bloom. I can't say it was particularly magical in the middle... More

This botanical garden is just lovely. I live in Miami and am very proud of the botanical garden we boast of here, but this SF garden was "the bomb". Just so scenic and enjoyable. I think everyone who lives or visits SF should go to the garden!

A part of Golden Gate Park. Budget minimum 1hr. Walk in, turn right. Stay on the path. Do not cross to other side. Continue to the end. It loops. Come back the other side. Return to beginning. Keep going. Go to the end. Check out the butterflies. Loop back the other side. Return to the beginning. You are done. The... More

The SF Botanical Garden is great for year round viewing. The garden is beautifully landscaped with plants organized based on geographic regions.

The buildings drew us in and we had a wonderful time at the gardens. Truly beautiful and one of the best parts of San Francisco that we explored.

We visited in mid-Decamber, which is a "tired time" in the garden. Not a lot of flowering plants, but those that were blooming were beautiful. A Costa's hummingbird was a real treat to see as it browsed the nectar blooming flowers. The entire garden is a beautiful peaceful place with an extremely diverse collection of specimens.
