Walked up Lombard Street admiring the slow-driving cars and very colorful homes. The short pedestrian steps make the walk up very easy. A must stop during a visit to San Francisco.

Whether you are on foot or in a car, this street is so worth it. The view is incredible and the zigzaging street makes you feel like you're in a movie. Try to get there in the morning, before the heavy traffic.

As mentioned before I got the cable car to the top and walked down the steps at the side to the bottom. You need to cross over Leavenworth Street if you want to get the iconic photo.

We walked down the sidewalk on this street and we are glad we did. Walking gives you a slower experience and allows you to see the amazing details on this street.

If driving through the ramp by car, you have to wait in a long line. I saw some people giving up. There is nothing to say more.

During our time in San Fran we walked to Lombard Street and drove down it on the last day when we picked up a hire car. It was fun and the kids loved it.

Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential
neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner.
Combined with several great cafes, restaurants,
antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any
visitor would gladly leave their heart in San
Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down
Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world,
and make the slow creep downhill past charming period

There are plenty of tourist sites to see in SF and this is one of many to considered a site to see. Keep in mind we walked from Fisherman's Wharf and it was a hike up I think 5 or 6 steep blocks, the type of streets you see... More

Yes it is possible. There are sidewalks, but it will be hard, the hills are steep.
