At the northwestern corner of San Francisco, there is a series of stunning views at every turn in this wild and windy trail. Hillsides of cypress and wildflowers, views of shipwrecks and access to the ruins of Sutro baths, a San Francisco specials memory.

This is an amazing park in SF. Located near the Golden Gate, this is a wonderful place to escape the noise of the city. Several miles of wooded paths with breathtaking views.

The views of the Golden Gate Bridge are breathless. The great expanse of the Pacific Ocean is laid open for all to sea. The hikes are easy with smooth paths and the beaches have plenty of climbing rocks and tide pools for the teenagers. Do this afternoon hike and stay for sunset.

This is a scenic fairly short walk but would still recommend sneakers or flats (vs flip-flops). The path is a dirt path so would recommend a shoe that covers your feet.

Lands End is one of my favorite places in San Francisco! I usually park at the parking lot by the visitor center. If you only have a short amount of time or limited mobility, you can take in the views of the Pacific and the Sutro Baths and go to the Visitors Center. This is a National Park so I... More

One benefit for the secluded trails by Lands End not being so secret anymore is that more funds have gone in to improve maintenance of signage and trails so as to better handle the foot traffic. The views are just as great, and the area certainly feels safer with more folks around and not so spookily overgrown with vegetation and... More

Started at the visitors center I believe and walked the Pacific Trail (I think that's what it was called). It was absolutely stunning, the grounds were very well kept, and it has honestly been my favorite part of traveling here. Definitely go here if you like nature, hiking, and/or incredible views!

Western most tip of San Francisco. Great place to see the ocean and viewing the waves. Easy to get to and educational for the kids.

The ocean meets the windswept cliffs along the northeastern shore of San Francisco. The highlight being the picture perfect view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Highly recommended.
