Bike the Bridge! At Blazing Saddles Bike Rental and Tours we want our guests to come away from a day on our bikes feeling as if they have just experienced the very best that our city has to offer. Whether it is a local resident enjoying our state of the art equipment or a visitor seeing the city for the first time, we encourage our riders to enjoy the bike friendly environment of San Francisco. Blazing Saddles was one of the first in the industry to develop a proprietary map of suggested routes and points of interest, and we have been a major pioneer in promoting cycling through the Presidio National Park, over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito and Tiburon. All of our seven locations in San Francisco have easy access to a car-free bike path that winds around the city by the bay. We have the largest fleet of bikes in San Francisco, including state of the art electric bikes, tandems and kids' bikes. We also have high performance road and mountain bikes for those who want to explore Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Mt. Tamalpais State Park. We rent bikes 365 days a year and are open at 8am every day. For those that want something more, we offer a daily tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. No reservations necessary.

These folks run a high volume service at multiple locations, and they will get a bike under your butt or on the back of your car in just a few minutes. They will ask you to do a quick check to make sure you are satisfied with the fit and function of the bike. I recommend that you are diligent... More

There are plenty of bike hire places but we were recommended Blazing Saddles and I can see why. No short cuts, helmets given out as standard, a video briefing (don't worry- max three minutes) and then away on well maintained bikes with good gears.

I'd like to thank the team at blazing saddles on Hyde street for the most wonderful customer service I've ever experienced. Last year on Father's Day my family and I from Australia decided to embark on the San Fransisco bike ride. Only shortly in to the trip I realised my bike was faulty and gave it to my dad to... More

This was my third visit to San Francisco and every time I've intended to spend a weekend day cycling the bridge and every time I've missed the opportunity. This time I made up for it by biking it twice! Once in the rain with a work colleague and once with my family on a warm sunny day. It is an... More

We did the guided golden gate bike tour with Devin. It was a tonne of fun. Great way to see the city and he was extremely knowledgeable and fun. He kept up and kept us entertained through all our group's questions -- from politics to history to popular culture to wildlife. What a fantastic way to not only take in... More

I wanted to use an electric bike, but the one advertised had been discontinued. We did bring this up with the manager who said we could have a different model at a reduced rate. However they wanted 1,500.00 hold on my credit card which was not possible, so I had to use a normal bike. They said the slopes were... More

Prior to our San Francisco trip, I did a lot of research on day activities. It seems that bike riding across the bridge is very popular as well as renting bikes from Blazing Saddles. We rented bikes from the location in Fisherman's Wharf. Bike riding across the bridge to Sausalito was one of the highlights on our trip! The staff... More

In San Fran for a business trip and had a morning to spare and being in Fishermans Wharf a colleague and I decided to give it a try. Being regular cyclists we went for sports bikes and had a pair of Specialized Roubaix road bikes. They were sized quickly for myself and my friend who has the body shape like... More

They have a lot of stores in different locations around San Francisco. Super friendly staff, available to answer our questions and even make suggestions. They show you a small video with some tips as well (the route you should follow, the best places to go...); they give you ferry tickets so you don't have to be in the line, and... More
