Small but authentic

The park area is really small and only takes about 20 minutes to walk around. The buildings ponds and gardens are just like I have seen in Japan

Very pretty landscaping, good for photos. The store has a lot of cute and cool stuff and souvenirs. The cafeteria, even though it was very crowded, the y serve very quick.

I had been to the Tea Garden on a previous visit to SF, and I was excited to have my wife experience the serenity of the garden. This is such a gem in the middle of San Francisco. We took a cab to the area since it is pretty deep into Golden Gate Park. Once you enter, you immediately feel... More

Excellent garden, very beautiful trees and flowers. Well maintained. Not very big, however a must see attraction after visiting academy of science. 5 minutes walking from academy of science and entrance is for free.

It is easy to locate in the park, and has extensive, landscaped grounds including some lovely Japanese sculpture and pavilions dotted throughout. There is also a nice gift shop offering unique and artistic souvenirs, and a tea house. We had tea and a small pastry at... More

A nice stroll through the beautifully kept gardens. Lovely pagodas. A very nice spot to have a cup of tea and snack.

Ended up here after a day spent at Golden Gate Park. Great place to unwind with tea and pastries in a quiet setting. If you like photography; you'll appreciate the many good views.

We had lunch there. Dainty little sandwiches, cakes and tea. There were several choices of tea, we chose the black tea and it ws good.

We had seen these gardens previously and wanted to visit them again. They are well-maintained with beautiful buildings, zen gardens, and koi ponds. My husband used a walker and it was easily for him to maneuver.
