I checked out SF City Hall with a friend, and thoroughly enjoyed it! This is not something you typically hear about when visiting the city by the bay, but if you've got time in your afternoon, it's certainly worth a stop.

Beautiful building inside and out. Recommend viewing ground and basement floors for interesting period architecture. Ballroom at the North end of building is magnificent. Have been there for some events. Worth a look at this building if you're in the area and it's open. The...More

This imposing structure sits majestically in lower San Fran, not too far from the waterfront. The dome crowns the building and is ornately daubed with gold: real gold. The building sits in an open space and is not crowded or overhung by modern glass towers....More

Take a moment and step inside. It's one of the most beautiful interiors in the city. Lots of weddings happen and it's always fun to see the newlyweds.

As we strolled along Van Ness the great dome came into view. Crowning what is a vast, tremendous edifice in the Beaux-Arts style. The facades are gorgeous, with Atlantes in a supporting role, fine pediment and much statuary. Inside is equally impressive. Tribute statues are...More

Civic Center
Civic Center is the seat of power for all things
government and performance-related in the city.
Although its streets are best walked during daytime,
numerous cultural gems are within close proximity to
one another. The symphony, opera, ballet, and jazz
center offer year round entertainment within the
shadow of the city’s Beaux-Arts crown jewel: the gold
tipped dome of City Hall.
