My husband and I took the Hayes Valley tour with Maria Antonio and had a fantastic time!! Maria Antonio was very knowledgeable about the Hayes Valley area and we learned a bit of history. The food was good and we ended up being stuffed at the end. I would highly recommend this tour; definitely something different if you are visiting.

In general is a good experience, but in some parts it becomes a little bit boring. Be aware of the weather it is also a factor that affect the tour.

I love gourmet walk chocolate tours. Every time I have gone on one it has been an absolute pleasure. Our most recent guide Ahmet was so knowledgeable and is clearly passionate about chocolate in the best way! Such a fun date night.

I wanted to surprise my husband in his 40th birthday so I booked a tour with the company "gourmet tours". It was at Napa Valley, CA. Wasn't only wine tasting but variety of cheese, meat, chocolate and more.... Our tour guide, Monica was super nice, interesting, interesting and funny. We really enjoyed with her knowledge and her live above Napa... More

Took the Hayes Valley tour with Maria Antonia. Let me set the stage: POURING rain. Windy. Maybe we should park in a hotel lounge and drink? Dang it, we already paid for the tour. We parked. We met in Patricia Green. We met our tour guide and fellow foodies. She seemed a little nervous. Honey, we're hungry but we don't... More

This was referred to me by a friend and I'm so glad I took her word. My husband and I are quite familiar with the city but somehow Hayes Valley hasn't been on our radar. Well, that's changed! There were 7 stops for tastings for those locavores who enjoy a bit of history with their yummies. Maria Antonia has the... More

Just completed a beautiful walk around Hayes Valley with our guide Maria Antonia. I had never been to this part of SFO before and I really enjoyed it. Maria Antonia was great, she set a good pace for the tour and was very attentive and knowledgable. She is genuine and spent more than the alloted time with us. I tried... More

The tour guide was the general manager, Ahmet, and he did an excellent job. The shops were unique. Enjoyed the cocktails and pairing. Large variety of chocolate and flavors. Overall a wonderful experience!

This tour far exceeded my expectations. Ahmet is an excellent guide providing interesting facts about the neighborhoods and San Francisco, while keeping us on a good walking pace with just the right amount of stops. And lots of wonderful foods to sample! Although I'm a San Francisco and Bay Area native, I have driven the streets but never experienced at... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
