Known around the world for its Victorian row homes, this spectacular hilltop park is an ideal spot for taking photos. The park is currently undergoing renovations and will reopen Spring 2017. While under construction, a viewing area will remain open to see the infamous Painted Ladies. Please remember to pack out your trash as this is a Leave No Trace Park.

Nice to see the painted ladies of San Francisco. The house from full house is found in this area, as well. The park is great. Many locals walking their dogs and families playing with their kids. We felt safe in this area as we walked...More

This park has a nice view of the beautiful painted ladies. Alamo Square always makes me think of full house. This was quite a walk from Union Square but I think it was worth it. I'm a full house nerd and this was on my...More

It's really nothing more than a cute little park with nice views of the city. While the painted ladies are pretty, they're nothing spectacular, and Alamo Square in and of itself wasn't worth more than a half hours visit, if that.

Predominantly used by locals to walk their dogs this park lies on a plateau providing great vistas on down town SAN fran. It has a relaxed mellow vibe to it. Nice for a morning stroll with Some espesso to go

went there for the view of the painted ladies, but honestly found those to be a bit overrated. The park was a great place for a nice city view and the view of the other side of the city was even more impressive. We were...More

It is a good place to see the famous painted ladies and it's best if you have a car to drive to this place, because you will not have what to do more at this place.

They don't allow tour busses so I would assume they won't allow a large van. There are signs posted along the streets.

Ahhh, parking in San Francisco. Basically, you let all people out of your vehicle who have limited mobility, and then you make some concentric circles until you find a coveted parking place. Key here is to remember where you... More
