This was a very first stop on our SF vacation and I think we kicked it off on the right foot! My husband and I both got bread bowls and grilled cheese- his with clam chowder, mine with the tomato soup. Omg- so good, way better that any bread I've had! We even brought a loaf home with us!

We biked across the bridge and took the ferry back the the wharf and stopped in Boudin's for a snack. The breads are beautiful to look at-so many fun shapes and different varieties. We got a baguette that was delicious. They also have fun souvenirs as well. I'd definitely stop back in and try some other breads.

We had the tomato soup in a bowl and loved it! It is seriously the best tomato soup. Sooo yummy. Try it!! And of course, the bread's amazing. Great texture, great flavour.

After seeing all the bread bowls and chowder offerings throughout San Francisco, we decided to try our luck at Boudin at the Wharf. The bakers had displayed their bread creations in the window which we passed multiple times. Who wouldn't want bread shaped like a crab ? My husband ordered the traditional clam chowder, and I tried the chili. Each... More

Excellent choice for breakfast or lunch. I feel it is all about the bread (which is excellent) as the fillings were mainly processed meats.

We ordered the shrimp pesto pizza and it was delicious. We haven't had a sour dough base before but we enjoyed every mouthful. Also the soup in the sourdough bread dish is wonderful. Eat the dish! Staff were helpful and the service good, we sat inside each time. The atmosphere is great as there is a shop on site selling... More

There's no place better for sourdough. The bakery and bistro downstairs offer adorable shaped bread - teddy bears, alligators, etc. with a sandwich and pastry area. We ate upstairs in the restaurant. Great view of the bay (even though it was foggy). Companions had soup in a bread bowl and chowder in a bread bowl. I had the risotto which... More

My wife and I were in San Francisco on vacation. We stopped by this location for chowder in a bread bowl. It was fantastic we sat outside by the fireplace and enjoyed our chowder. The quality of the food and the atmosphere was amazing. We would certainly visit again.
