Neighbourhood: The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theatres and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.

Rolo; for fashionistas with deep pockets
I have to say the other review is completely erroneous. Now one would think that's how Rolo would be, with their uber-trendy and uber-expensive clothes and swanky store; but they're actually very friendly and low-pressure. They'll run in the back to grab a different size, or will give you an honest opinion of how it looks on you. I would recommend any fashion-forward/fashionista to visit Rolo in San Francisco.

trendy clothes::rude salespeople
The Rolo stores seem to pride themselves on their trendy, cutting-edge clothes.

However, to achieve this they seemed to have neglected customer service. Most of the salespeople are downright rude and would rather talk to their co-workers than help the customers. Unless, of course, you are dressed to the nines and look like you are about to seriously throw down a good amount of money.

And if you ever call or e-mail them to inquire about an item you've been pining over... well forget it because you'll never get an e-mail response and the salesperson on the other end of the phone will heave a heavy sigh, as if you are make him/her climb Mt. Everest to look for your shirt.

Rolo: a store desperately in need of good manners and better customer service training. I'd skip this store if I were you (and did I mention everything is horrendously overpriced???)
