Seriously tugs at my Heart!

I grew up swimming and playing at Sutro Baths. I love this site and always will. It's a very special place where is was a favorite spot in yester year and now!

You go in, walk around the ruins, small gift shop where you can buy books about the history. It would have been nice to have a little area set up with objects, pictures, maybe a little narrated video about the baths. Something. We did walk the whole thing, take pictures, etc. Very pretty views for sure.

Historically, the Baths were the Place to be...until their untimely demise - regardless, the site is spectacular and mere steps away from The Cliff House and Ocean Beach. The View of the Pacific Ocean from the Cliff House will take your breath away. TIP:Do not Frolic in the deadly waves

This would have been an amazing place in it's heyday but all that is left now is a old salt water pool in dire need of a clean up. There are some nice views and interesting history but so many things to see in SF

I'm pretty surprised at the lack of informational/directional signs in the area. We had to ask a fellow tourist if the path in front of us was the one we should take to get down to the ruins. There was a fence nearby, and by the way it looked we weren't sure if we were allowed down the path. I... More

A pretty little area located at land's end. We did a couple of the walking tracks and took some great photos.

Incredible that I've missed this spot for decades in the Bay Area. Highly recommended esp when the wind or surf is up but I'm sure it's beautiful anytime. Walk thru the tunnel at the waterline when the waves are pounding for an auditory experience.

Bring your most comfortable shoes, because you will be walking. Up and down (not sideways.) The views are awesome, and best off.... the trail that gives you the full workout. If you have physical disabilities, this walk is NOT for you. If you can tough it out.... go for it!

We had driven out here to visit the Cliff House restaurant since it's an excellent place to end your day and stumbled upon this by chance. You will park just above the bath ruins. There is a trail that takes you to the ruins and to Point Lobos. It really worth the stop to view the ruins. We finished our... More
