This was awesome and we went because they told us we could have it cheap so we tried it and it was one of the best amusement/game/movie type things I have ever done. We were in California for 3 weeks and did so many things and this still makes it into the list of most memorable! A boy came out before we went in and just said it was 'awesome' and I totally agree. Basically it was so fun and if you're around pier 39 you should go it was so worth it!

Passing by and my husband thought we should give this a try. There are now 3 different "movies/games" to play (the newest being "Zombies", only 2 weeks only). The games are a few minutes long each. You experience the thrill of a roller coaster while watching a 3-D movie and shooting the bad guys.

We tried "Los Banditos", a popular one which turned out to be a lot of fun. You get a discount if you wish to try another one, so we then tried "Forbidden Mine", another fun one. And so as not to leave "Zombies" out, we gave it try. I was most hesitant on this as I do not like anything scary, but this was the BEST one! We were the only ones playing at the time, and my husband spent half of the time laughing at me because I was screaming so much! This was my tactic to win! No seriously, I was scared!

The interactive nature is a lot of fun, the graphics are done well, and the technology used for the experience with the chairs is smooth (not jerky, throw you around, make you sick).

We really enjoyed it!

The whole thing will last around 10-15 minutes, it is ok, slightly funny, but I would expect more from 7D. It is a 3D movie and your seat is moving a bit. So, it is 4D. I am still waiting for the remaining 3Ds. We just went there because it was included in the BigBus platinum tour. Don't waste your money for that!

Honestly, this had to be one of the most fun rides I've ever been on. My fiancee went with me and we both totally loved it beyond belief. First off, I have to say how friendly Phillip and Richard were and it is obvious they love their job and helping people have a good time!

Secondly, it was a total blast and worth every penny. We loved it so much we actually went back and did it a few more times. We started with the Zombies one (which was awesome) and then did Gigamom (a very cool sort of like Godzilla like creature and adventure) and then did the Los Banditos which is a bit more "family" like because it is a bit more fun for kids and younger adults since there are just evil robots to shoot and it isn't quite as scary as the others. I loved being able to fire the guns and blow up stuff while laughing at my fiancee and our silliness as we bumped around in the chairs and had fun "falling through space" as it really feels like you are moving in a car, train or helicopter depending on which experience you go on. I saw lots of people laughing and having a great time while also trying to be the best shooter and get the highest score.

The price, for the ride alone, is $10 and you can do a second ride for $5. Trust me, you will want to do a second, and a third, ride. You can also get pictures of yourself after the ride is done as you are in action during the ride. I believe they are $5 each.

We also did the Lazer Challenge, which is a room that has all kinds of lazer lights criss-crossing it. You try to move around them, as carefully and as quickly as possible, without crossing them to touch a yellow light on the other side of the room. After you touch the first yellow light, a second one appears and you have to go through the lazers to touch it. When you reach that one, a final red light appears and you have to touch it before you finish. It is actually quite a workout and a lot of fun. If you hit a lazer light, you lose 30 seconds off your time and, believe me, if you are at all competitive, you won't want to hit any. Time wise, I did great (something like 30 seconds) but hit 3 lazers so I added 90 seconds to my time and ended up at 120 or so. Just means that when we go back, I'll will definitely try to beat my time. The cost of the lazer challenge was only $5.

If you buy both the ride and the Lazer Challenge together, you get a deal as they are only $13.

It is definitely worth it and I would suggest doing that. Also, it wasn't very busy so we were able to get on the ride without much of a wait and the same with the Lazer Challenge. I asked about how long the wait can be, when it is super busy, and they told us that, at most, it is about 20 minutes because they can move about 20 people at a time. So don't worry about it if it does look like there is a line, there isn't really one. :-)

Lastly, the 7D-Experience ride is wheelchair accessible. I thought that was quite cool.

7D Experience is an attraction at Pier 39 that allows people to sit on seats and allows you to shoot at zombies or robot cowboys in a western setting. At this time, there are only two and it cost about $10 for about a five minute-or-so experience. But after that, each ride cost $5.00 afterward and you can purchase the photo that is taken of you and the person your sitting with at the front desk. There are coupons for 7D-Experience, so keep an eye on the Pier 39 visitors pamphlet and great to go with family or friends.

Truth be told, when we lined up for this I thought our group was a little too old for this (31, 34, 53 and 52) but i was wrong. Its a quick video game experience but it was great. We did the Road fighters because of the time that it started. It was definitely an unexpected good time! We even thought about going back the next day to do the Werewolves or Zombie ones... but ran out of time! One regret is that we wished it lasted longer.

I wouldn't recommend this place. I was under the impression that it was a 7D experience which would include a spray of water, vibration and smell.

However, it was just a game in a dark room. It's similar to the shooting game at the arcade room. It's a seat that moves around while u shoot. You'll never know which colour of your laser so you just shoot aimlessly.

Definitely not worth it.

I have no knowledge of the rest of the experience, but as for the laser maze, it was a huge disappointment. Or perhaps I should say a small disappointment since that more accurately depicts the problem. My two boys were so excited to tackle a movie-style laser maze. After I plopped down $10 for the tickets, I was expecting them to get more than a one minute game in a room smaller than their bedroom. It would have been OK if they'd been allowed more than one turn, but as it was, it was not worth the money nor the anticipation.
