We visited the Welcome Centre on April 9 (located on Pier 39 in SF) to inquire about visits to Alcatraz and to see a SF Giants ballgame. Big kudos to Hailey Ashcroft! She was very helpful: assisted us by buying ballgame tickets on-line; searched for Alcatraz Tour times; and arranged for us to meet a rep at the Hop On... More

We needed a place to store our luggage for the day before heading out to the airport and we didn't have a car or a hotel in SF. For $5 you can store your bag until 6:45pm. A great service for day travelers! I wish there were more in CA.

We took our bags to the Welcome Centre after returning to San Fran on a cruise. Greeted with a smile by Landis who was very friendly and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. He took our bags, gave us some advise on what to see and gave us a token for a coffee. We went back in the afternoon and... More

The California Welcome Center is located at Pier 39 and on the upper level platform. I popped into the California Welcome Center while strolling through Pier 39. Yes, the place does give information and help with planning, maps etc. but after watching the staff for a while and looking around at many of the brochures and souvenirs for sale, this... More

I'm sorry to write this but we were so disappointed by the service here. We are so use to US service being warm and friendly, especially in a tourist info office, but we really felt as though we were causing the staff an inconvenience by asking for advice! We were served by a middle aged lady with a man and... More

We hoped off the cruise boat and had a day to fill until we flew out at 9.45pm. This place stored our luggage for $5 bag, helped by ordering a shuttle for our trip to the airport as there were 5 adults and 6 large cases so finding a taxi to take all of us would have been a nightmare.... More

This branch of the California Welcome Center is located on the upper level of Pier 39. The staff were very friendly and helpful with all my questions. Thank you for making my SF trip even better.

Traveling in SF by myself, so I headed in for some advise. Everyone was extremely friendly and very helpful. Not at all pushy which I find can sometimes be the case. They helped me find things to do that were specifically suited to me and how I wanted to spend my visit. Would definitely recommend having a chat to these... More
