Can be really chilly but take a blanket up to the top. The views of the Pacific Ocean and even the a part of the golden gate bridge are worth it and it isn't usually too crowded.

The Grand View Park is not huge but the view is fantastic on a sunny day. You have to climb up some steps and walk on a short sandy trail, with walking shoes no problem at all. What you expect is stunning. Great place for...More

Stunning views of the ocean, Golden gate bridge and San Francisco. Best way to get here is from Judah Street and 16th street and climb the "tiled stairs". Very few tourist visit the small park, which Make it even better. Free entrance.

There is a solid view of the water but there is nothing to do and its in the middle of nowhere. Boring.

It’s a small park, essentially just the top of a hill. Unfortunately, the day we visited was cloudy and rainy, but we were still able to enjoy some good views. It’s easy to imagine this is breathtaking in clear weather.

Sure, it's worth the climb for the extraordinary view. "Just do it" and bring your camera. You won't be disappointed.
