This gem of a club is close to my dark sparkly heart. Visiting is like coming home..... to a dimly lit mansion full of friends who raided the deepest part of their wardrobe to reveal their inner being. Always a good time and the staff...More
CASH only in back - CARDS OK at front bar.
Horrid drinks. I expect to get pretty basic drinks at a dance club, but the booze was so cheap and "grain" tasting while also being ridiculously over priced.
We found the music very average to...More
I'm from Los Angeles and we have several weekly goth clubs . I went SF to visit a friend and we wanted to go dancing . There is -0- atmosphere at this club unlike the LA clubs but ... the music was FANTASTIC!!
We found the Cat Club listed in Time Out. It is in the SoMa district, which is slightly sketchy for a tourist but not bad. Our hotel was in Union Square & we walked along Market Street (avoiding cutting through Tenderloin...which is definately sketchy) to...More

South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized
streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
