Best Farmer’s Market for Produce!
Sep 2018
We go here every Saturday to stock up on veggies and fruits for the week. Best tomatoes and best strawberries you can find, fresh and wide array of mushrooms and generally good quality produce and plenty to choose from.
Not best if you’re looking for bread, juice and other, more refined groceries.
Bring cash - nobody takes credit cards!

Trash and Treasure
May 2016 • Couples
If you love other peoples junk you will love walking through this flea market looking for treasures. Give yourself about 3 hours to roam around this large market place and there is plenty of free parking

Saturday mornings treasure hunt at the Market
Mar 2016 • Solo
The routine Saturday morning treasure hunts in veggies n other food items, are endless here.

As one of the long time loyalists of this down to earth grassroot type of farmers market, the endless surprises of the veggie varieties which to peoples amazement, making the regular grocery stores shopping becoming totally uneventful.

Rain or shine. be there or be quare. Feeling the sense of real flavors and long distance childhood memories meaningful n sweet, for the dieheart fans, no doubt, its an A +++,

One man's trash is another man's junk!
Nov 2015
This place is terrible. Two bubbles is probably being generous. I love flea markets and am fine seeing a mix of junk among some more interesting vintage goods, but this place is all junk, all the time, at every booth. I swear, people are selling stuff that you'd most likely throw out without a second thought. We went here b/c some of the other flea markets in the SF area were closed during our trip...not worth your time - SKIP IT!

First-rate farmers market
Oct 2015 • Friends
This is a farmers market rather than a flea market, at least on Saturday mornings. Dozens of vendors displaying a wide range of fresh and dried fruits, nuts, vegetables (especially for Asian cuisine), flowers, olives, with a few prepared food vendors (pizza, Cali-Mex, cheese, baked goods) in the second row. Worth visiting even if you're not cooking. Parking is tight in the neighborhood--practice your up-hill parallel parking skills.

The big certified farmers market in San Francisco - fine produce - best prices
Jul 2015 • Family
This is the original certified and city-sponsored farmers market. Open only on Saturdays from dawn till about 2:00 pm. It is much larger than the farmers market at United Nations Plaza (which is open Wednesdays and Sunday mornings) and the one at the Ferry Building. All the produce is sold by the actual farmers. There are also a few vendors selling food to eat (prepared on site plus bakeries) and usually a seafood vendor selling oysters. In the summer you can find the best peaches, strawberries, plums, and heirloom tomatoes available in San Francisco. Besides standard american fare, a lot of vendors sell Chinese vegetables. Besides produce, several beekepers sell honey. In the fall and winter one can find fresh persimmons and citrus, as well as the original "Delicious" apple (striped - unlike the type sold in supermarkets.)

Every week it attracts mobs of shoppers - tourists and locals. There is a large parking lot, but the market is so popular, it can take a while to get into it between 7:00 am and 11:00 am. It is on a bus line.

Loved Desde el de!
Jun 2015 • Couples
It was a small cute market. Since we weren't planning on cooking a lot we just went for snacks and lunch. There was a lot of fruits and vegetables to pick from. We got Desee el de for lunch, a small food tent. I got the corn quesadillas with chicken and onion and my husband got the flour tortilla with beef. It was the bet quesadilla I've ever had. The corn tortilla tasted so fresh. I would definitely go back to get another if I were staying long enough.

Great Flea Market in San Francisco
Mar 2014 • Solo
If you go to this flea market you will meet a lot of people from SF and very few tourists. I found some nice things, the prices are absolutely fair.
Sundays from 7:00 am to 3.00 pm on a parking - during the week there is a farmers market there.
