Worth the hike

We did this as our last hike of the weekend. While challenging in some spots, the efforts are well worthwhile.

Dogs are allowed here. Several people had theirs with them. Great hike and the arch is in view from about a 1/2 mile in. This was my favorite hike because the rock is so smooth and the caves were everywhere.

The parking lot was full when we arrived (40 vehicles) but the hike is long enough and there are enough photo opportunities that hikers are pretty well spaced out on the trail. I would not attempt this hike on a hot, sunny day, especially with a dog. Our black lab was comfortable but it was about 45* on a sunny... More

I stumbled upon this trailhead while sightseeing and was glad I did. Nice pretty easy hike with a few tougher steep rock scrambles thrown on for fun. Very pretty views and no entry fee like at the Arches.

Beautiful, moderate hike to the arch. It was a bit crowded on the weekend, but if you have a very limited amount of time and don't want to pay the entrance fee for Arches Nat'l Park, definitely a good alternative.

The hike to Corona Arch was easy and well worth the effort. Being off the major roads was a plus as there weren't many people around.

Off the beaten path and much more remote than other Arches as it was not located in Arches National Park. It was awesome!!

Huge, spectacular arch that comes into view as you come around ridge following a nice hike up from the Colorado River, a few miles west of Moab. Using safety cables and a small ladder, you climb to a level that enables you to walk along the base of cliffs to arrive at Corona Arch. Standing under it, looking up...Awesome.

This was a hike that was recommended to us during our last visit to Moab, but we didn't have enough time. We've hiked there this time though and really enjoyed it. Beautiful scenery, fairly easy hike and the arch is stunning.

Pretty much any vaguely healthy person could do this scenic hike to a beautiful, powerful arch. Highly recommended.
