Eric of Windgate Adventures is a 1 man show but what a 1 man show he is. Knowledgeable, sensitive to the environment and ecology, extremely helpful and such a personable charcter. I was new to the desert, having never travelled there, he showed me the ropes, was patient and most of all made it fun. We had 2 great days... More

We took the Fiery Furnace guided hike with Eric on October 30th and had an amazing time. The positive experience began days before the hike. Eric is diligent in responding to inquiries (though allow for a day or so since he's usually away from the office in the great outdoors) and took care of the biggest logistical issue with any... I had a great time climbing Ancient Art with Eric from Windgate Adventures. The route itself was one of my favorite climbs and Eric's help is part of what made it a great day. Aside from his climbing expertise, he was very easy to talk to and shared a lot of great advice about the area. I would absolutely recommend... More

There is something unique about Eric. His Character. His knowledge. Not one bit did I feel like a client... And, not one bit did it feel like he was my guide. In the two day of rock climbing with him, it just felt like an old friend I haven't seen in a long time and we just went climbing. Who... More

We had a great visit to Arches and a great private tour of the Fiery Furnace with Eric and Windgate Adventures. He is extremely well known among the park rangers, we asked about him at the information desk and they said he's extremely reliable and also very good with photography... so if you're an armature photographer looking to take good... We spent a glorious morning with Eric, who taught us basic canyoneering and rappelling skills. Funny and knowledgable guy, I would go back on another tour with him any day. Thanks again for the memorable trip!

What an amazing time we had running around with Eric Odenthal for two days. Hiked the Firey Furnace on Thursday and did canyoneering in Saturday. Eric is a lot of fun and very safety conscious. He taught us some techniques to crawl around the canyon and had us repell down two drops of approximately 125 feet. We are not spring... More

As a party of 4 sixty-somethings, we were thrilled beyond words to have Eric guide us on two different excursions in the Moab area. The first adventure was a tour through the Fiery Furnace in Arches - Eric is a very experienced guide who not only showed us the beauty of the Furnace, but also taught us some rock-scrambling maneuvers... Eric was great! He was born to climbing, knowledgeable and a great photographer too! He was patient with me when I was scared and didn't think I could get through an obstacle. I never thought at age 60 that I would do what we did! Canyoneering and repelling! There were only 4 of us and we all enjoyed! Definitely would... More

Just one word...awesome. Eric helped us climb the Looking Glass Tower. My wife and I had the most amazing experience rappelling down the arch. Eric was very helpful, informative and patient with our amateur climbing skills. Took us around 30 mins to drive to the looking glass tower from the Moab area. Then around 4 hours of climbing/taking pics. Definitely... More
