What a neat walk. This is a boardwalk Trail that goes back into a cypress forest. The area is a picnic area. Off to one side is the boardwalk (about .4 mile one way). The trail begins with a stunted cypress stand and a large...More

This is a mile long boardwalk that is an easy walk for all. Good view of cypress swamp, good photo area. The pool at the end did have a gator.

This stop on Highway 41 provides and excellent walk through the park on an extended boardwalk that allows visitors to see the swamp and the waterways up close. There is ample parking and toilets.Well worth a stop and a walk.

I didn't really dress properly to go on a true hike, so I was happy to find this nice, long boardwalk that goes through dwarf cypress trees. The bugs weren't as bad as the were elsewhere, but I still don't advise coming in the summer...More

To me, a roadside park is a highway pit stop with picnic tables and restrooms. Kirby-Storter is that, but it is a lot more. An accessible boardwalk leads half a mile into the surrounding cypress swamp, giving visitors a chance to view the area while...More

This park is just that, a roadside park with sheltered picnic areas. A one mile round trip boardwalk leads through a mature cypress stand keeping your feet dry even after a heavy rain. There is a covered place to rest about half way out. This...More

This park has a nice boardwalk out into the middle of the swamp. At the end came upon a pool with a couple of gators. Nice little walk.

You never know what you may hear or see on this short walk. Worth the time to stop and stretch. Bring bug spray if venturing later in the afternoon.

This is a must-do while visiting Big Cypress NPres/Everglades NP. The boardwalk makes the area accessible for the entire family. while it was only my husband and I this time, I will return with our young children. We saw multi-generational families enjoying their walk. The...More
