We went early in the morning — not the best time for photos. The cliffs were amazing though. (Painted Wall was the highlight.) Make time for botht the south rim road and east portal road. (Winding roads on the latter.) Worth three hours detour.

Great hiking, biking and 4 wheeling. Wish we could have spent a month exploring the trails, rivers and streams. Had chamber of commerce weather which made it nice.

The scenery is beautiful in this area. We spent two weeks riding the trails around Pitkin and Taylor Park. We arrived home an hour ago, and are already making plans to return.

This forest is a gorgeous area of Colorado. It has become increasingly vehicle friendly in some sections of the forest.

We drove through, stopped for lots of pictures, picnic and saw wild life frequently. Fall is out of this world spectacular and so colorful. Great outing for anyone.

Beautiful area which offers something for any age outdoor person and it is much less crowded here than just about anywhere on the front range esp the mts just west of Denver

What a beautiful drive despite the heavy rain, the soaring cliffs and rocks the autumn colors, the running rivers and streams give you a great feeling of majestic serenity.
