This hike was fairly easy and not very steep. My family and I stayed on the trail and the trail doesn't actually go all the way to the pinnacles. We crossed a fresh snowmelt creek. The sound was a welcome change from the sound of high winds. The end of the trail offered a great view of Blue Mesa Lake.

We stopped at the Dillon Pinnacles viewpoint every morning of our stay in the area to eat a picnic breakfast before heading out for our adventures. Spectacularly beautiful scenery and not to be missed!

We were able to see these from the road and from Blue Mesa Reservoir. They were spectacular from every angle. I brought home many pictures.

This is an easy hike; a few miles. Only about 300 ft. elevation gains; so easy, even for us Michiganders. Great views of the Blue Mesa and Dillon Pinacles. There is a pit toilet at the trailhead.

The trailhead has restrooms and parking. Follow the ramp that leads to the water and you'll see the trailhead on the right. This is a really beautiful hike. It took me 40 minutes each way. The views are awesome and the top is really amazing. Be sure to drive across the bridge when done (if you hadn't already come that... More

There is a pull out with interesting information about the five (at least) distinct geological features during different time periods that can be seen when viewing The Dillion Pinnacles. Cool formations in rock & beautiful place to stop & rest for a bit...taking in the awesome scenery...and/or taking a picture or two!

One of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. It was almost too much for me to take in, like it was a movie or a dream. There is a lookout point that you must pull over at in order to take amazing photos. I will never forget this view.

When the lake is full there is a great image with the pinnacles in the background. Usually the water is too low for photographs but not today!

We have visited this area for five years in a row now.. The who.e area is outstanding. We've never done the hike but love just stopping and getting pics - it is a beautiful spot to relax for a few minutes or take the hike.
