One of the things I love about visiting ghost towns in the Old West are the stories that go with them, about the people who lived there, the lawmen, the miners, the outlaws, the businessmen, the prospectors, the women. Tin Cup, or Tincup, originally called...More

We just drove through and took lots of pictures. We did stop at a general store and purchased a few snacks. They seemed to be equipped with the essentials, from groceries to fishing, and more

Drive the dirt road from Tin Cup to Pitken for a beautiful adventure. The fall colors were unbelievable. The road is not smooth but we had no problems getting though in our Santa Fe. Well worth the drive.

We road our ATV from Taylor Park to Tin Cup, it was a beautiful ride and when we got to Tin Cup it was like stepping back in time. We loved it!

This is an adorable town. The road from Taylor Park is passable even for a minivan but going all the way to Mirror lake is not recommended without 4 wheel drive. We stopped in and had dinner at Frenchies and they stayed open a little...More

This is a great little town up in the mountains which has a summer population but is deserted in the winter. We ate at Frenchy's for lunch and the food was good (sandwiches and burgers) with great homemade pies. They have a small trout pond...More

The most important advice I can give is to have a vehicle that has a very high clearance and a good set of tires, oh, and a good spare! Most 4WD rentals companies have jeeps that will work. Try a google search on: 4WD... More
