Spent a couple of hours wandering through the galleries checking out the local artists’ work. Glassworks : Paintings : Sculpture. I love the repurposed buildings. You’ll see many local artists at work. Enjoy!

The RAD represents Asheville's embracement of the arts. Whether you love painting, glass, pottery, weaves, metal or jewelry, these galleries are wonderful and unique.

Definitely a stop on your visit. To see the Artist at work and to enjoy conversations! Enjoy one of many venues for a bite to eat, a coffee to enjoy along your stroll and to balance the decision which piece you can’t live without.

We loved the couple of hours we spent roaming from building to building and the hidden treasures within the galleries, and even watching some of the glass blowers at work. Definitely a great find!

My daughter and I loved the River Arts District. If you like art, you will too! We did go on an off day. There were not that many artists working on art. Also, lots of places were closed. I would suggest checking the River Arts...More

We were here late in the day and only had to me to visit 2 shops. Very interesting place. Wish we had more time to visit. Worth a look if you are in the area.

This is an interesting artist concept. We enjoyed seeing the art and seeing work spaces etc. Parking was a bit messy, muddy and a bit challenging and hot walking about. They did have some nice things, some were highly priced. I guess my expectations were higher....More
