    Good Beer, Lovely Patio
We were greeted by a friendly server who suggested beers for us. When we tried to tip him, he explained that they don’t accept tips as they are paid a living wage, but “tips” put in the bucket go toward not for profit groups selected by employees. What a cool way to do business! We enjoyed flights of beers out on the outdoor patio overlooking the river. Many were eating food from the food truck parked on the premises. This brewery is not as impressive as their brewery in Fort Collins, CO, but it still was a fun place to visit.

    Lots of room
This is one of the bigger breweries. The seating area was fabulous with a couple of heaters and a fire pit. Lots of people for February and being fairly cold. Dogs are allowed on the patio outside. We tried a couple of beers and they were good. Always love all the voodoo rangers.

    Don't miss New Belgium
We all liked New Belgium and they had a huge variety of beers at the best prices in town. It's a factory for beer with a large indoor space and a beautiful outside area overlooking the river. We love the breweries in Asheville and this one has the best scenic view. Most days the outside heaters were off. Lots of food trucks but we came here every week for beer as it was only five minutes from our rental.

Final destination every night we were in Ashville!
We drank Fat Tire and Mountain Time every day. Staff super friendly--taste tested beers before ordering., explained the "no tip" policy and the donation bucket on the bar, young man putting down the umbrellas at the end of the day totally cool with us taking our time to finish our drinks. Multiple families picnicking in the yard. Food trucks daily to order from

great setting, beer, and food trucks!!!
The setting is amazing as it has lots of covered areas to sit, which overlook the French Broad River. The beers are my favorite in town, and most are $5. They always have 1-2 different food trucks per day, all of which are very good to outstanding. I take my dog there a few times a week, and we both love it each and every time!

This was the coldest, least friendly, sterile, boring place in Ashville this weekend. We were excited to visit the brewery of some of our favorite beers so when we were told there was at least a 2.5-3 hr wait list we happily put down our names and kept ourselves busy elsewhere to wait for the text. When we returned we were seated and began to notice how miserable everyone looked. The servers stood so far away from the tables (6’social distance plus an additional 6’), had zero personality (I think it’s been scared out of them) and offered zero information. It was a simple business transaction. Use the scanner thing to pull up the menu, tell me what you want by putting the sign up on the table, here’s your beer. Done. No background music. No ambiance. A group of 6-7 walked in and they made them sit at separate tables. They didn’t stay long. It was honestly depressing. We made the best of it because we have fun with each other anywhere but we didn’t stay long. Every other pub, restaurant, shop, and hotel we stopped at enforced social distancing, masks, we even wore gloves at one restaurant yet they were all happy, friendly, and fun. There was nothing happy, friendly, or fun about the experience here. Until Covid is handled here, or until New Belgium decides to make the best of the situation, gets some speakers for music, and allows the staff to have fun, I’ld suggest sipping on one of their beers at one of the local pubs, bier garden, or pick up a six pack at a gas station. You’ll have a much better time.

I'm sorry, but this place is just another beer joint. It's that simple. It's not Victoria and Alberts. We stopped by around noon on a Tuesday and were met by a "greeter" who proceeded to tell us, in a very condescending manner that he didn't think he could seat us as we didn't have a reservation. Well gee, seeing that everyone is seated outside on picnic tables and I could easily see at least 6 empty tables, I was somewhat taken aback. Really? I say. He says "I'll see what I can do" like he's doing me some great favor. This is when the little **** carefully looks at his iPad like he's actually trying to figure out something. I point out the empty tables, That's when this little greeter started to patronize me. Sorry, I won't stand for that. If I could have pulled the mask off his face, I could visualize him looking down his nose at me. If my little greeter reads this, and I hope management will show it to him, make him understand that he is NOT the Maitre d at Le Comptoir du Vin. He's a greeter at a beer joint with a terrible attitude. Oh, by the way, I would have spent money on your T-shirts and some of the other items but I was over this guy. We left and went somewhere else.
You've been warned.

Yes, the grounds are amazing. But for me, the customer service stunk. Waited 20 minutes in line, only to finally get to the front to be told that I was in the queue for a table and that would be a 20 minute wait (I call BS on being only 20 min, since the place just opened, and most people don't slam a beer and leave). I understand you fill up, but no communication was made to the people in line. (Although they were actively communicating to people to mask up in line, even though people were 6" apart and it was outside). Just felt like bad customer service. My advice is do what we eventually did, go support a true craft brewery owned by locals.

Visiting from Chicago. Excellent and speedy customer service. Josh recommend the right beer for my taste and very energetic about describing the beer products. Him describing the different beer flavors was helpful. Love the patio view of the river. Enjoyed the Food Truck as well. Also enjoyed that dogs are welcomed.

Very limited service which I didn’t expect to be a problem since over half of the tables in the already Covid spaced area were empty. I was told by a curt host that the tables were reserved for people that were not there spending money and if I wanted to spend any money at the place , I was going to have to wait around an hour. I generally do not wait to spend money anywhere and I would not be inclined to take free product from the arrogant ‘greeter’ at this place. I’m glad to see an establishment doing so well with Covid that they are comfortable running business away. THANK YOU New Belgium for sending me away. There are a lot of better places in Asheville.

My first piece of advice is not to drink before the tour. They will be serving plenty of free, delicious beer and you don't want to be drunk before the tour ends. (some of our tour group were, hence the suggestion right off the bat!) Our tour guide handled them perfectly and just kept saying, "Good Vibes Man..."
This was a great tour-great afternoon-great beer and great tour guide! (Thanks Ross!!) From beginning to end, we enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot.
You need to reserve your space ahead of time and definitely show up on time.
Plenty of parking is available.
At the end of our tour on a Friday -late afternoon we came out and there were food trucks, live music and of course beer! Families were hanging out on the lawn and was amazing.

We stopped here while in Ashville to enjoy a few of their Brews and found that they have some construction that distracted from the nice lawn setting that they have. No negatives on this location other than the distraction of dust and noise at time of our visit.
The beer and food truck experience was nice and looking at what the construction is adding looks like once complete it will add to the over all experience and i will look forward to visiting again.

My wife and I are Asheville locals and have visited New Belgium many times. However, on our last few visits we have noticed that the employees have become less and less friendly. On the visit that prompted this review a bartender literally screamed at us for being rude because we were standing in line deciding what beer to order. “It’s rude to stare, please come up to the bar and order something,” he screamed. I could tell that even his fellow employees were shocked at his rudeness. There are too many great breweries in our town, we won’t go to this one again.

The New Belgium Brewing Co's tap room is perched above the French Broad River and has local artist-made bars, tables and chairs crafted from nearly 14 linear miles of repurposed wood salvaged from the stockyard that was previously located there. Year-round and current seasonal offerings are always on tap, and series beers are available upon release. The beer we sampled were very good. We sat inside since it was hot out, enjoyed the beer and the break from the heat. There were no food trucks or live entertainment when we visited.

One of the nicest brewpubs in town located with a great view of the French Broad River. A very wide selection of beers, often priced at $5. Different food trucks each day, sometimes with two trucks on the busiest days. I really wish, however, that they'd turn down the music, especially when it's less crowded and it's hard to talk over the blaring music.
