We think farmers markets are a great place to visit to get an idea of the local food that is available. There was a lot of quality produce, local foods like honey, jam and meat products. We were at a stall that had many varieties of dried beans, so we bought some that we wouldn't be able to find in... More

My husband and I were in Asheville and decided to check out the Farmers Market. What a good idea. There were at least 3 buildings and had lots of fresh produce, crafts, honey, and meat. Everyone was very friendly. Wish we lived closer to visit here weekly.

When I went to Cara's corner to buy spices, the woman at the register charged me over 70.00 on what should have been a 20.00 bill. That authorization holds for three business days, meaning that my entire grocery budget for the week would be unavailable to me from Saturday to Wednesday, When my husband asked the cashier to be more... We went for apples & weren't disappointed! They had samples you could try to see which you wanted. There were tons of varieties to purchase & I thought they were reasonably priced. The permanent buildings had a variety of canned goods as well as fresh vegetables. A really nice market!

This is a place worth going to as you head out of Asheville. There is a small variety of local art. The gourd art was the most impressive. There is a multitude of local produce selections along with some from Florida and Mexico.

We were staying in Bear Creek campground and decided to stop by and see what was available. One thing I noticed was how friendly everyone was. Every booth we visited had samples which really helped buying what we needed. Prices were reasonable but not a real good selection. Some of the booths had primarily the same items. I did buy... Friendly staffs at the booths, and was able to sample lots of different apples! Bought some homemade soaps and essential oil that was made and enjoyed talking with the vendors!

We were visiting the Waynesville area in mid Sep't & stopped in Asheville for a couple of days. Even though it is only a mediocre Farmers Market we always like to stop. In the first of the two main retail buildings, Coates Produce is the largest seller along with several other dealers. We bought a nice basket from Coates, but... More

We were excited to go to the WNC Farmers Market and while we enjoyed the visit, we were a bit disappointed the two times we visited. There were many vendors and stalls offering a large volume of jams, jellies, sauces, and other jarred items, but many items looked as if they had been there for some time. Stalls offering fresh...
