This is a really small park in the middle of a busy downtown area. There are good bars and restaurants close by. Friday night there is the drum circle which truly is something to see. But other than that there really isn't much of a...More

Pritchard Park is a small little city-center park not unlike others in the middle of cities and towns. It offers a bit of green space and respite in the midst of the bustle of the city. On the downside, you'll be more likely to encounter...More

Pritchard Park is in the middle of downtown Asheville with benches and wierd frekie folks. Panhandlers on occasion until police run them off. Cigs, grass, cigars smoked and butts on ground with empty bottles. Some days are better than others. Always be on your guard...More

By going on Friday, you'll see and experience the crowd that shows up for the very fun and lively drum circle. There are ample bars and restaurants within walking distance once the fun of the drums wears off.

Pritchard Park is an area that seems the hangout spot for the homeless and drug addicts. It is a grungy area with panhandlers and not an area I wanted to spend much time. I did enjoy the Friday night drum circle as that was fun...More

Wonderful park in the middle of town. Good acoustics for a park. Lots of space and friendly folks. Also good restaurant right next door with outdoor seating - bonus!

I have always enjoyed visiting Asheville, but the trip this August has given me pause for future trips. Countless homeless addicts surround all of the green space. Two snorted drugs right off the sidewalk and at 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon.

It's so great that you can just walk downtown in Asheville and find hours of free entertainment people watching! And, of course, this is one of the best venues to people watch...
