So sad that the aSHEville Museum is closing to become the aSHEville Emporium. All that was left of the museum while I was there was the Wonder Woman exhibit and the rest was piled up in the back against the wall. While the gift shop...More

The fact that this museum is devoted to women makes it important. The idea is refreshing and energizing. For someone accustomed to big city museums, the reality of this tiny place was somewhat of a letdown but, once I adjusted to the reality of being...More

The aSHEville Museum is a MUST see while in Asheville! It looks like a gift shop but then as you move father in you see the SHE museum. There are several exhibits that show how far we've come and how much more we need to...More

Interesting exhibits and a wonderful gift shop that features local artists. Wall Street is a charming area and local owner really works hard to represent women's issues and provide educational experiences for all ages.

Loved the combination of local artisan gifts and photographic displays. Beautifully simple storytelling and a great place to stock up on some thoughtful gifts!

We stumbled across this little gem as we were browsing around downtown Asheville. The clever name and window displays brought us in, their intriguing products caught our attention, and then we realized there was also a museum/set of displays in the back half. We enjoyed...More

There is the museum; but my favorite is the gift shop; they just have so many unique things; I always find something that is handmade and nice for a gift. or for a home decoration. Love it that the all fair trade or locally made.

We had a wonderful time looking round the museum, it is quite small but the exhibitions are really substantial and very inspiring, one of the highlights of Asheville! The gift shop is lovely too and the staff were very friendly.

It's a gift shop. You have to pay to tour the museum, which we opted not to, but the shop was fun with lots of goodies!
