My friend and I went for the Civil War Days. The ferry was fast and fun. The history tour was well done and fascinating. We had a special treat of two young men playing the fife and drum. Other workers showed the weapons of the...More

We caught the ferry from Hingham to George's Island, which was itself worthy of review. Our $54 ticket for two adults and one senior included free parking (avoiding the $4.50 parking in Hingham), but we missed the 10AM ferry, since arriving at 9:30 was not...More

This was a typical visit to a local place that none of us had ever visited. Three of us in our 50s grew up in MA, plus my 20+ year old son, took the ferry from Hingham. We were overwhelmed by Fort Warren and explored...More

George's Island was a fun spot for a picnic and some exploring. Heading over by ferry is easy and relaxing. There was a female staff member in the museum area when we first arrived that was the most friendly, but we were soon approached by...More

This little island is simply gorgeous. Almost its entire area is covered by old fortress, which is freely accessible for your own discovery or you can join free rangers guided tour. Plus it offers amazing views to the sea, Boston and surrounding islands. There is...More
