Franklin Park Zoo is home to incredible animals from around the globe. Visitors can stand face-to-face with the Zoo's seven western lowland gorillas at one of five glass viewing stations in the state-of-the-art indoor exhibit. Also, be sure to also visit the African lions in the Kalahari Kingdom, the tigers in the Tiger Tales exhibit, the Masai giraffe, the Grevy's zebra on the Giraffe Savannah and the many other remarkable species that call the Zoo home. During the summer months, enjoy Butterfly Landing and Aussie Aviary.

This was our first visit to the Franklin Park Zoo after visiting Zoo's in other states which we have lived. Of the Zoo's we have visited this zoo was certainly one of the more depressing. The exhibits were rather dated with chain link fences and very small areas. The condition of the park is a bit worn down and the... More

I have 3 kids, who sometimes get wild and they are different age, what can give me hard time find stuff do together. This zoo is the best and for older kids and for young. Not very big, has some interesting animals, bird house, building with animals and birds. You can feed parrots, can ride camel, has petting zoo for... More

This spot was included in Boston Go card. Not a biggest Zoo but I like a lot. Easy to reach by using public transport.

Had a tough time with opening doors for exhibits. Even my husband had difficulty with the heavy doors and the stroller. Good things are it's very kid friendly and has lots of shade. There were multiple playgrounds. Nice day just frustrating to not be able to open a door for myself like I'm used to.

It's ok Zoo. My 6 years old and his friend had a great time! It's safe place so they could run around. The day was perfect not too hot. They have a big nice playground. They have train rides. A lot of interesting animals to see (most were sleeping). The food is good. Clean bathrooms. Staff was attentive and helpful.... More

We've lived in Massachusetts our whole life & had never been to Franklin Park Zoo but had wanted to visit since seeing the movie Zookeeper which was filmed here. It was $30 for 2 senior citizens. We parked by the giraffe entrance so the first exhibits we saw were the Aviary which wasn't too bad but from there it went... More

We stopped here on our way up north to break up the ride. The zoo was nice. It was clean and maintained. The animals areas seemed to be clean. We are member at rwz and they are part of the reciprocal list. I would have been disappointed with the zoo if we had paid full price but perhaps because it's... More

This is such a nice place to take children for an afternoon outing. Lots of nice outdoor displays of different animals, in their "natural habitats". Very enjoyable.

Visited here with my 7 year old granddaughter. She had a ball. It is much improved over the concrete and asphalt horror of 30 years ago (that's the last time i had visited). The aviary and the gorilla exhibits are first rate. The entire zoo took about 3 hours to tour including lunch. Big negative is the cost. About $20... More

Unfortunately this is not the first North American zoo I am disappointed in. The pitfalls seem to be the same every time: 1) Large area not used to its full potential (i.e. by either having more exhibits or bigger areas for the existing animals). We wasted a lot of time walking from one place to another with nothing to see... More
