Top ways to experience Warren Tavern and nearby attractions
The area
Neighbourhood: Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Cool old Boston atmosphere and a good place to get a little evening meal. We found the location very handy after walking the Freedom Trail and heading towards the subway, this was in just the right spot for us. Good service and our burgers were tasty. Both indoor and sidewalk dining. Thanks Warren!

After visiting USS Constitution ship & museum, this was a short, enjoyable walk. We started with a very tasty Clam Chowder. The lobster mac-n-cheese was very good - lots of lobster. Drinks were good. Atmosphere was what we expected at an old irish pub. Truly enjoyed our meal.

We were visiting Boston and stopped here for a late lunch. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the french onion soup. My son loved the chicken tenders. The crab cakes were lovely with the homemade tarter sauce. Our burgers were perfectly cooked and mine was loaded with pickles just as ordered. The homemade chips are very tasty! The gentleman who seated us greeted us warmly and our server was a competent and pleasant person. Happy we made the trek over from the monument. We left full and happy.

We walked into this historic tavern and loved it. Wife had brown onion soup and I the ale pie. Great choices. Live music was great fun. Paul Revere drank here and I can see why.

Quick lunch
Nice service and traditional English. I am English and the Scampi was better than anything I have had in London. Same criticism of large portions but good for what we were expecting. Nice short lunch.

Went with a group of girls. Friendly service, very prompt. Food was delicious. I had nachos. Friends has salad & breakfast food (which they served until 3pm). Reasonable prices.

Very nice atmosphere in this very old pub located in Charleston, just near Boston and close to Bunker Hill monument. The food is also excellent, just what you can expect from this type of pub.

We stopped here for drinks on an April afternoon. Maybe they still had the heat on, even though the temp outside was in the high 50's to low 60's, but it was hot in the bar. The bar has a lot of history and the inside is very cool. Our servers were great and our drinks were very good, but they were a bit on the pricey side.

Historic tavern in one of the oldest buildings in the US that is still in use. Get a drink with some history! Interesting interior (watch your head if you are over 5' 10") of low ceilings, dark wood, and some historical items round the place out. You feel as if you are stepping back in time when you enter!

Is the tavern 21 and over only? We will be traveling with our 19 year old son.

Is there a decent place to stay nearby?

I stayed in a great 2 bedroom apartment very close by that has a convenient bus stop right in front of the building to connect to the MBTA T lines and it has a small grocery store right across the street. You don't say how many travelers so it might be more than you need.
Check out AirBnB then search for ENTIRE CONDOMINIUM
Beautiful Bunker Hill 2 BD and that will put you in the right neighborhood and if required you can use the map and search for one that fits your needs.
