Boston is full of History, so many things to do, many places to eat, the people are very friendly, it was a plan ahead because many places get crowded..

I love traveling to the Boston Harbor Islands every summer! My favorite island is Spectacle island where you can hike to the top of two separate peaks and get amazing 360 degree views of Boston and all surrounding areas. It's also fun to watch the planes going in and out of the airport. Georges island is great too if you're... More

We took our two grandsons to Sullivan's for supper and then roamed the island/fort. The gates were open and we had the opportunity to explore inside the fort. There were volunteers offering answers to our questions. I went there last spring as a chperone on a 3rd grade field trip - so interesting!.

CBS's "Sunday Morning" did a story about the Boston Harbor Islands, which made me want to visit the islands, all of which have interesting histories (hospitals, forts, homes of wealthy people, almshouses, prisons, etc). Then I finally moved to the Boston area 10 years ago and had my chance. When I lived in Hull, which is on a narrow peninsula... More

Having done the Freedom trail, a great way to see more of Boston is on the Harbor Islands too. We had a great guide who was extremely informative and very funny too. The whole trip is about 2 hours and well worth the money.

I was late arriving because of logistical issues (my lack of knowledge) but got there just as they were lining up to board. The guides were knowledgeable, kind and entertaining!

Well worth the time ! Pick a fair weather day, though ! Climb the light to get the full experience. It is just a light house - what more can we say ?

Overcast day, warm - perfect for a boat ride from Boston to Brewster Island, about 45 minutes. Once there the routine is well planned out and executed by a small but efficient staff. Meeting the Light Keeper was very interesting, a way of life all but gone. The island itself is small enough to cover within the time you are... More

The other reviewers have captured pretty much all I could say about this great tour/opportunity. The price was eminently reasonable for a 3 ½ hour narrated boat tour of the harbor islands, lots of great information, a unique opportunity to visit the last "manned" lighthouse in the U.S. and visit the top, see the lens and the amazing 360 degree... It was a sunny day, low humidity, a slight breeze. The park rangers were informative and attentive. The Coast Guard folks were helpful. Sally the light keeper obviously enjoyed her job and other folks on the boat were friendly. Some brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed the views of the harbor while waiting to climb to the top. The climb... More
