Blue Hills (locals will still call it Hah-bah Lights) is quirky but pleasant place to see a show. As it's pretty small there really isn't a bad seat in the house and if you're into a more chill time, there are tables you can buy and sit back from the main crowd. The one caveat is those tables are not... More

This concert venue is outside but there is a tent covering the whole seating area. So if it is hot outside, it will be hot under the tent. Both times I have been here it was right around 70 outside, so perfect temperature. Short of a very strong wind the rain shouldn't come under the tent either. There is a... More

Blue hills Bank pavilion is two blocks from the Harpoon brewery on Northern avenue. A limited seating Arena, 5000 at best. It shares in the Renovation of a Revitalized waterfront district. The price of the tickets are moderate to high. 20 to 100+ range. The food and drink at all venues of this type is Obscene and bordering on Criminal.... More

I look forward to seeing this schedule every year and try to get to at least one show. Really nice atmosphere on a summer night. The water view area is less than it used to be but still accessible and nice to enjoy. They have improved the quality of the seating with sturdier seats and cup holders. I love the... More

The Blue Hills Bank Pavillion is amazing place for a concert, especially on a hot summer night in Boston. Location on the Seaport is fantastic and we had great front row seats. So what's my problem, I wanted a cocktail, a simple vodka & soda, I don't drink beer or fruit sweet spiked slurpees, or the disgusting offerings of trash... More

Great spot to enjoy a summer concert in Boston. Seats are covered so protected from rain. Really, all seats are good since it is a small venue, though it is a great opportunity to see artists up close. I splurged on 12th row aisle last time and it was well worth it. Idina Menzel walked though the aisle past me,... More

We had table seating just outside the pavilion, so we had a nice breeze from the waterfront and could see the full moon coming up. The event was well organized and we had frozen Margarita's that were pretty tasty! I would go to this venue again!

First time seeing a show here - saw Lenny Kravitz. Sat in Section 3 almost to the back of that section. Not a bad seat at all. Surprisingly there were a lot of food options and good drinks selection too. Easy to get to - lots of parking all around and some good other options outside the pavilion for food... More

Recently saw another show here. This is a terrific spot to see your favorite band In the summer. It's on the water so there is usually a nice breeze -- this can also translate into a cold night as the Fall comes rolling in. The venue is approximately 4-5k of seats so most seats offer a good view. The food... More

I visited for the first time 8/23 to hear Counting Crows. All the seats are good since it's a small venue. There are tons of food and beverage options. While crowded and somewhat run-down, the bathrooms were clean. I'll look forward to going again.

Staying in Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront

Neighbourhood Profile
Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.
