The site of the Boston Massacre is, as others have said, mainly a marker set into the street. However, you can walk up to the second floor of the building from which the Colonial Governor stood when he ordered the crowd to disperse, which is...More

The site where the Boston Massacre occurred (one of the triggering events for the Boston Tea Party and other Revolutionary events) is a stop on the Freedom Trail. It's commemorated by an in-ground plaque in the sidewalk right next to the Old State House. We...More

This spot on the Freedom Trail is identified with a sign. We had a great tour guide, and I am so glad because the sign doesn't do justice to additional information which could be shared.

There are 17 stops on the Freedom Trail. This is stop #11. I have to separate the physical location from the historical event known as The Boston Massacre when reviewing this attraction. The physical dial set into the ground is a memorial. It's located on...More

Not much to look at. But again, the significance is there, and to see the development surrounding it is to appreciate the spirit of the country.

This is a quick stop on the Freedom Trial right in front of The Old Statehouse and close to Faneuil Hall. There is some informative signage. If you are lucky, a tour will come by and you can listen to the story delivered by a...More

A circle of bricks, a moment in history possibly turned into propaganda for the cause. Quick photo stop.

It's interesting to stand in the historical spot where this event happened. There's a reproduction of the picture that was widely circulated (some might call it propaganda) to stir people up among the colonists. It's up past the bus stop, not right next to the...More

The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with
historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through
one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston
Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling
statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the
pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where,
during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting
children and eager tourists through the pond. Have
