We waited with a number of other people excited for the ghost Walk but no one from best tours ever showed up, we left after 30 minutes of waiting in the cold. No real person answers the phones and no live chat...SCAM!!!!

There were about 20 of us waiting at the Copley statue and the tour guide never showed. We waited for about 45 minutes. Best Tours does not have a phone number so we had to "chat" on our phones with them. After around 20 minutes of trying to contact the tour guide, Best Tours canceled the tour.

Walking to 5 stores and ordering enough samples of food for a group is not a tour! No information whatsoever!

The "tour guide" just took us to 5 stores and the stores gave us a few samples. No backroom visits or explanation about the places. No history. No information at all actually....He was texting throughout the tour and then had the audacity to ask us for tips at the end after showing us some stores! What a joke! Had this... More

I am so sorry that I didn't read these reviews before I bought the Living Social deal for my husband. We went with our daughter and boyfriend. At least the tour happened!! But our guide, who said he was a comedian, said almost nothing and told no jokes. We called it the 50% pizza tour: two small slices of good... More

DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY!!! It's all a scam!! My mom and I drove an hour and a half and paid a mint for parking and waited with 12 other people for nothing. No guide ever showed up and the people in the gift shop at The North Church said it happens ALL THE TIME!!! I tried calling... More

A whole group of people waited for our tour guide for the ghost tour for 30-45 minutes. No one ever showed up and the company isn't responding to emails/doesn't have actual people available by phone to help. Don't waste your money.

Best Tours is not only disreputable, they are dishonest. There were 12 people waiting for the tour but the guide never showed up. You cannot call but on live chat they lied and said that they sent notification that the tour was postponed. There were 12 of us and we checked and not one of us received a notice that... More

Don't waste your time with this company! We scheduled a chocolate tour and waited over 45 minutes just to have no guide show up. I tried calling, but there was no answer and no way to leave a message and their online chat was 'conveniently' shut down. A couple other people waiting with us said that this had happened to... Drove almost an hour and a half to go on the "Ghost tour". Waited on the corner of a cold windy street with about 25 other people for 45 minutes. The bus/tour guide NEVER showed! Not only did they not show, but there was no phone number to call, and their online chat was conveniently down. Down waste your money.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
