Neighbourhood: Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.

Really nice and funny attraction. Children really love it. But it is also great attraction for adults :) It gives charm to the city.

Love a good Carousel
Apr 2019 • Family
While walking through the common my 8 year old spotted the carousel and begged to ride it (little did she know that was part of the plan all along). So i went to buy the ticket for her to ride the carousel and she asked me to ride with her so I bought another ticket and we had a blast riding this carousel while chatting and taking pictures and videos of our ride!!! Most things are better when seen through the eyes of an 8 year old!!!

Whimsical!
Oct 2018 • Family
My kids and I were in Boston Common and decided to try out The Carousel. It was a weekday so they were the only kids there. The creatures were fun and not just the typical horses so it was fun picking out a Seahorse and Rooster to ride. Highly recommend!

Who doesn't love a Carousel?
Oct 2018 • Solo
A colorful carousel, tucked in about the center of the park. Nice looking animals on the carousel. It was opened the day I was there, but one grandma I spoke to said it wasn't ever open when she went by w/ her granddaughter. I guess it was there lucky day.

The kids seems to have a great time. The carousel animals were well maintained. I visited in the fall. I don't know what they do at the other times of the year.

The worst attendant
Jul 2018 • Family
While on vacation in Boston, I thought to take my kid to Boston Common Park. It is very sad when one of the attractions for kids such as a carousel left the worst taste for us. A young teenager who was an attendant at the park was so rude, so out of line that I will never ever go back nor I recommend this ride to anyone else. He made kids to wait for about 15 minutes in the heat. He was on his phone texting and didn’t even care that kids were getting restless. When i asked ‘how long do we need to wait?’ Instead of being apologetic, nice, courteous, he got so obnoxious, so rude that I was stunned that a shmak like him is allowed to work around kids! No line to speak of on this fall afternoon. It is a beautiful merry-go-round. I think the ride was about 10 minutes. Good memories made.

What fun! Only $3 a ride and the "horses" are actually unique animals in vivid colors - I rode a purple dragon and my friend rode a cat with a fish in its mouth.
