Saks is in the Prudential Center and a great spot for fine shopping in the city. There is not another store in Boston that has the variety of brand names and merchandise. The best advice I can give is to find someone in the store that provides great service and keep in contact. About a year ago, I bought perfumes... More

Way too expensive.. Limited range of footwear . Staff helpful but should expand range of prices and manufacturers as there were super exclusive Keds-like sneakers for450$. There were no Toms or Keds or Vans. Disappointed. Limited wide width sandals also. No berkensteins either.

I wandered by the Chanel counter and was curious about the line up of vintage Chanel perfumes. A tremendous man named Steve Johnson took me on a journey of the senses. I had never experienced such amazing customer engagement. My son joined me and also found a perfect vintage scent after Steve brought out an outstanding collection to fit his... More

I love SFA but have lived in Boston for years and always struggle with this store. I find their offerings very limited and the layout is just weird. Much smaller than many other big city locations.....Full disclosure I shop at SFA in NYC so that is a pretty hight bar! I find that I always walk out with several purchases... More

This is a decent store, but it pales in comparison to the Saks in Manhattan. The layout is nice. The staff (in the cosmetic department) is so so. I pretty much had to help myself. When I finally made my selections, the counterperson gave me the wrong products. I had to go back the next day exchange them. I expect... More

Everyone knows that Saks Fifth Avenue carries mostly designer high end items but I do have to say they offer a great selection. The Boston store is in a great location with an adjacent parking garage and connected to The Prudential Center Mall. Compared to the other shops there, Saks stands out if one is seeking quality clothing and accessories.... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
