Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Made a quick stop here to see the Elvis statue here. This park is the location of his homecoming show once he was famous. Story goes that he accepted the title to his birthplace home for doing this show. Anyways, this is a well maintained park in the middle of town, with lots of street parking right there. Worth a visit.

This is a small park with Elvis’ birthplace house where it was originally built by his father. The church they attended was moved to this park grounds. A few walkways with history dateline, the museum, and a gift shop. Alone with my dog and they allowed me to walk around with her on leash...inside all bldgs, too. Didn’t take long to see it all so it was worth the time. Ample parking places, I think.

They have a Museum, Gif shop, and the house where Elvis was born. If you've been to or going to Graceland in Memphis, don't bother spending the extra money to see the museum. But the house where Elvis was born is a must.

We have been to both Graceland and Elvis`s birthplace and one is all glitz and glamour the other is peaceful and real. You get to walk through the home Elvis was born in and the church he first sang in. See the family car and just feel where he lived his early years. It is a great family place.

I was with an escorted group from the UK - with Titan Tours - and a visit to Tupelo was part of our tour of the deep south, before travelling on to Memphis. Definitely worth a visit. Lovely to see the humble home where Elvis was born and I felt I got a real sense of his family and the man he was. Both churches were lovely and very interesting. Particularly loved the circle of life, telling the story for each year of his life. Worth a visit and particularly so if you've any interest at all in the King.

I had a few reviews, which were a bit negative, but upon reading found they are not fans of elvis. I also visited with a friend who was not an elvis fan. She was bored.mi, on the other hand, was in my element.

This center is a chapel with Elvis' voice piped in singing hymns. We are not Elvis fans so this place had no meaning to us. As Christians, we found the chapel to be really creepy as it was not at all focused on Jesus but on Elvis as a God-like figure. We will not visit again. I am only putting August 2018 as our visit as the list will not go any further back but we visited several years ago.

We did not go to the museum, but strolled around the lovely little park, which, in addition to the Elvis statue also has a statue of an indian chief. The city itself is full of history, and we decided to go sometime when we can spend more time there.

I was somewhat disappointed in the Elvis complex. As others have said, the admission price does seem a little high. However, my main complaint is the condition of the museum itself. It is old and in serious need of updating including adding some technology features. In others words, it needs to be brought into the 21st century. The presidential libraries and museums are constantly updating. Why can't the same be done to the museum honoring the king of rock and roll?
I was also somewhat disappointed with the gift shop. Some of the gifts seem "dimestorish" and need to be upgraded. I could not find one item that I really wanted.
The rest of the complex is very nice---the small church, the Elvis as a child statue, Elvis' childhood home and the grounds themselves.
So, while some parts were great, a couple were not so great. Maybe with time, improvements will come.

The cost was answered. The cost lets you go inside the small museum, house and a nice AV presentation in the church. The money supports the park so it goes to a useful endeavor.
You can walk around and see the outside of the house and church without cost. This site has many outside displays and a nice small reflection lake as well. There is a gift store also that has many items.
