very much recommend

They do a great job of telling the story of Kansas. Very large display hall and gallery. They have scaled back the store and snack area. Still an Interesting place to visit.

found many cool exhibits, and it was neat to see that MATM (Mysteries at the Museum) had been there 8 times already

Museum content was really good, but layout was odd--too many choices for how to get around, had to look at the next section to see if we should proceed with the one on right or left next so that we'd see everything and not have to keep backtracking---maybe they could add some arrows on the floor for the direction you're... Love the museum. Took 3rd graders for 25 years. It used to be free. Great collection of Kansas artifacts.

The museum is well layed-out with very extensive displays about Kansas history. There is so much to see, read about, and experience. By experience, I mean, that many of the displays are so well presented that one can feel what it was like to ride an old steam locomotive, dance around a fire with the Native Americans, be on a... The museum is an amazing display of the history of Kansas with life size replicas of Native American dwellings, covered wagons, buffalo, and so much more. The displays are easy to follow with tons of information provided. This is self paced with plenty of places to sit and rest if needed. The steam locomotive on display gives the opportunity to... This is a very extensive display of Kansas history. It is presented well and is very interesting and informative of all aspects of the history of this region. The displays of the more modern times (1960's to now) seem a bit cluttered, but for baby-boomers some of the items are fun to see and remember. History overload, but very enjoyable!

The facility is undergoing progressive changes in the display and housing of its animals, all for the better for people to view and the animals to live in friendly surroundings. Highlights include the elephants, lions, tigers, bears, mountain lions, rain forest display, and of course, my granddaughter's favorite, the bug display.
