This place in full bloom is absolutely beautiful. It's great just for going on a walk, a jog, having a picnic, anything. And there's a section with gardens where there are flowers EVERYWHERE. it is absolutely beautiful

Beautiful park filled with many sights to see and various museums! Also home to the San Diego Zoo! I stopped through there during a tour! Free parking. Museums cost about $10-15 a pop.

I really liked the gardens as much as anything. The architectural buildings were a nice fit for the park as well.

I went in tthe afternoon and stayed till dark, the views are great across the bay, and BBQ is allowed, at least take a piknik with you, and spend half a day relaxing in the sun or maybe fishing... Also the view of the bridge is impresive, and the grass is lush and the water is clear, a great place... More

Historic park has a world class zoo, numerous museums, famous organ concerts, gardens, lovely buildings. Many free attractions. Tram provides transportation in park. Free parking which can be tight and limited at times. A must visit area when in San Diego.

We went to the Fleet Science Center to see "The Art of the Brick" and were fascinated by that. We walked all around and the architecture was overwhelming, so beautiful. We had lunch at the Prado Restaurant in the Hospitality Center and it was delicious. We will go back on another day to see the zoo, the Museum of Photography... More

People watch, dine at the Prado, listen to musicians, attend an art fair, go to a museum... do a photo shoot, there is always something to do at Balboa Park. As of now the parking is free. Bring your kids, your dogs, your best friend, a date... Wear comfortable shoes - lots of walking!

A sprawling outdoor wonderland covering 1,200 acres with fountains, a beautiful mix of Spanish, Moorish Revival, Pueblo Revival style buildings. A wonderful rose garden ( best seen in Spring to early Summer ) but still worth a look! My fav was a rose called Girls Night Out, a bright pink (of course) and though it was only in bud, it... More
