I'm afraid I didn't get the hype about this place. The shops are very touristy. Ok, some of the restaurants are good, but the parking is obscenely expensive. I wouldn't bother going here again.

I loved wandering around Seaport Village. It's obviously been designed and built as a tourist area but if only all cities had such lovely tourist traps. The buildings are lovely and quaint, it's incredibly clean, and has a really cheerful atmosphere. We arrived late to the party and only had chance for a quick look around in the early evening... I enjoyed walking through the Seaport Village on vacation. It was right behind our hotel. A lot of the shops are your typical touristy things, but we did pick up a couple souvenirs for friends. We also did a wine tasting and some people watching.

This hidden gem is not a must see, but we're glad we stopped by. Shops, restaurants and even a merry go round make it a fun place to see. It's close proximity to the Midway and Convention center make it easy to find. Check it out.

My first full day in San Diego and I decided to do a little sight seeing. I was staying in the gas lamp quater downtown. I walked to the waterfront and made my way to the USS museum. On my return I stopped through Seaport village to check out the different shops and to have lunch!

If you want to walk around and shop in cute shops and eat in quaint and fine dining restaurants, and if you want to walk beside the ocean and go to festivals and public events, and if you want to enjoy being by the water and surrounded by beauty, Seaport Village is your place. We only spent a couple hours... More

One can walk along the seafront and enjoy the harbour or can buy an ice cream or buy a meal or buy the ubiquitous souvenir

I have lived in SD for 2 years and finally went to seaport village. Be ready to walk, but its all flat and lots of shops, great harbor views, and great sunsets! its close to a lot of restaurants, and just a really good vibe.

I spent a week in San Diego with my friend who lived there. We went to Seaport Village one day shopping. Super cool little shops, and a beautiful area!
