Had a great time, rented bikes and rode up past pacific beach, around the bay and the trails were awesome, finished off the trip with some killer nachos at me Roberto taco restaurant.

Watch what the tides are doing, as a pre-dawn walk timed to coincide with an outgoing tide make this a fantastic beach to walk during the gray, pre-dawn hours.

Hope I have the right beach here, as I maybe refering to Pacif beach ? But if you walk along the beach towards La jolla, then you come to a beach cafe called La Hyna (s.p.?) This is a great place to chill over a meal and drink right on the beach. They have live music, really tasty food, and... More

This is California. Southern California. Once you've done the tourist stuff what better thing is there to do here than go to the beach. Golden sands. Constant sun. Warm Pacific waters. Nice restaurants. The beach is the place to come and Mission Beach is the fave among the locals. At night they light fires and have beach parties. Awesome!

We came in the winter and the water was still cold but we still swam in it, since we are from Wisconsin. The weather was nice, about 60 and we were in shorts and T-shirts, barefoot while the locals were freezing. LOL.

Highly recommend Mission Beach & the boardwalk. Rent bikes or just walk among the others. Great time with great people. Must see while in San Diego. Plenty to see, eat, do, shop. & drink.

I liked the beach, sunny and 75 at the end of January, nice sand, lots of seaweed clumps, quaint restaurants to eat or drink at. I guess I am a little spoiled, much prefer Florida beaches and water to the west coast. I am from Seattle, we have similar beaches just much colder. All in all though it's a nice... More

So if you have been to San Diego before you will know that there are two types of sky, grey and sunny. Mission Beach is great when it's super sunny and warm. The beach doesn't really get too crowded because it's so large and in the summer the water is nice and refreshing. In the fall and winter when the... More

What was most interesting to me was Belmont Park. It sure brought back some memories with the Arcade and the Rides. Because we had a Belmont Park in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, when I was a kid. Unfortunately now gone. The Boardwalk is very long and impressive. Good choice of restaurants and gift shops.
