There was something private going on when we visited on a Friday, we couldn't get up close but it was being played so that was a plus. It's enormous and impressive, regardless of your taste in music this is a very cool attraction and FREE....More

We googled Balboa looking for things to do and discovered the outdoor organ concerts on Monday evening....WOW! There are only two weeks left of this long summer program and we plan to drive in for the remaining ones. The outdoor venue is impressive.

5017pipes in 80 ranks once again marks this Pipe Organ as the largest in the world. Built for the 1915 Exposition in Balboa Park it stands facing the Art Museum and Prado a few hundred yards away. The setting is perfect.

Excellent concert venue, constructed for the 1915 Expo, located in the heart of Balboa Park. We didn't know about this place before we arrived so did not time it right to catch one of the free concerts but will next time.
