There was something private going on when we visited on a Friday, we couldn't get up close but it was being played so that was a plus. It's enormous and impressive, regardless of your taste in music this is a very cool attraction and FREE....More

The organ area was closed when we visited but the building was very ornate with lots of intricate decoration.

Installed for the 1915 exposition- it is supposedly the worlds largest outdoor organ Free concerts on Sunday if you time it correctly The space itself is impressive as is the entire Balboa Park complex

Excellent concert venue, constructed for the 1915 Expo, located in the heart of Balboa Park. We didn't know about this place before we arrived so did not time it right to catch one of the free concerts but will next time.

1:45 is plenty of time. Give yourself 20 minutes ahead of time if you're going to be parking.
