I'm not member of the LDS Church but as a history buff, this museum was top notch! Fascinating piece of American history well told with docents and high production value video, sound, sets and more. An absolutely delightful 40 minutes. By far the best part of "Old Town".

A great location to walk and converse with friends in the middle of town, but without the hustle and bustle. Easy access and parking. Great views across the city.

We didn't know what to expect, but our family really enjoyed our tour. Very interactive and they did a great job making the story come alive by making the tour interactive. Our little kids loved the gold panning at the end and the missionaries were such nice tour guides. Free place and we spent 2 hours there.

We went to the Mormon Battalion site in the evening on one of the rainy days of our trip, and we had a really nice time. Our missionary was very sweet and kind, I liked how they used videos and actors to make the story even more real. I liked how each room had a different theme and how the... More

It was a tad misleading. The building was built to be like something the battalion would have built. The battalion never fought in the war but played an important part of carving roads for the western movement. They also helped in the early days of San Diego and San Fransico. Learned lots of history via the mutli media experience but... More

This tour was very interesting and well done. The site uses friendly tour guides and multi-media effectively to tell the story of how the Mormon Battalion came to San Diego. Very family friendly and free.

The Mormon Battalion is a very interesting story of the pioneers. The video was exceptional. Loved the young missionary who was from China. Her English as really good.

This place was incredible. It doesn't make a difference if you are mormon or not, the history and the presentation is tremendous. Very creative and family friendly. Our kids voted this the "coolest" thing we did in San Diego second only to the zoo.

Uber driver recommended we go here. I am not Mormon and of course was a little concerned. Absolutely one of th best things we did in San Diego. This is an interactive electronics and people led adventure. The Sister who guided us did a fantastic job. Then afterwards as we were debating on heading out into the rain (yes, rain)... More

This could be the greatest museum I have ever experienced. They do a wonderful job of telling the story of the Mormon Battalion from a historic and personal perspective. The multimedia is beautifully done and the interactive aspects are wonderful. You’re at the campground! Sit on a log and smell the campfire!! Our guide was adorable, and the story was... More
