Although we're local, my wife and I decided to play tourist and go whale watching on President's Day. We've booked for a sailing tour at Sail San Diego's website, and showed up for the tour at the requested time. The whole experience was 5 star, from their excellent web site, to the friendly Capitan Anthony, to the weather that turned... More

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our whale watching sail. The crew made it so interesting with expert running commentary about everything we were seeing from wildlife to military activities. We even saw the military training dolphins! The ultimate was a big gray whale lolling around on the surface only 200 yards from our boat!

Recently took the 3 hr day sail with my girlfriend--our first time in San Diego. We were hoping to see a whale, and though that is not the focus of this particular sailing excursion, we were not disappointed! The captain on our vessel (Sail San Diego had several boats on the water at the same time as us, our Skipper... More

My wife and I joined 4 others and Captain Greg for a sail on Jan 18, 2017 outside San Diego to watch Grey Whales and enjoy the relatively warm winter afternoon. We sailed in an almost new Bavaria Vision 42 (look up this beautiful monohull!). From the very beginning, I knew this would be a memorable trip. Michelle, the owner,... More

Looking at all the choices for whale watching makes the decision hard if you have never gone before-- But this was a great choice. Happily surprised that the group was divided among several roomy boats. Just the right balance between personal and social. Our captain, Anthony, loves his work and knows it well. The beautiful weather & encounter w/ 3... More

My wife and I went out with Captain Art for a whale watching cruise. Not only did we see whales but Captain Art has a lot of knowledge about the area, sailing and whales that he was more than happy to share with us. We had a blast with Captain Art and we will return for another sailing adventure.

This was a beautiful way to spend the afternoon! We sailed out toward the ocean and city skyline. We saw a whale and sea lions. It was a new boat and Happy Captain Greg Tupaj was most knowledgeable and gracious! Good value for 3 hours of cruising.

Exceptional captain who succeeded to bring us back sailing to the harbour despite complete lack of fuel (no more use of motor)!

My wife and I were visiting San Diego in early February and decided to go whale watching. We wanted something more intimate than the huge tour boats and found Sailing San Diego. What a great choice. Captain Greg was fantastic and handled the swells with ease and found plenty of whales to see. We really enjoyed the hospitality (drinks, beers, wine,... More
