This is a great place to take a hike with family or friends. It's always beautiful in the morning or evening. There are lots a little hikes you can take throughout the reserve. It's great for kids too. You can see whales from far away if you look carefully. The reserve is always clean and well kept. I love the... More

Parked on the street and walked in since we were not staying for long and did not want to pay the $12 fee. Walked up the hill to the Guy Fleming trail and walked to the south vista spot - took some great pictures of the cliffs and shore. Easy walk but it was up hill and ended up sweaty... More

These hiking trails are one of the most beautiful areas we have EVER discovered on the west coast! Absolutely stunning! The trails were well-maintained, we saw some wildlife (lizards, a rattlesnake), plus we learned a lot about torrey pines, and local plantlife. Well worth a visit!!

After a moderate hike up a hill. There are several trails that you can walk on with beautiful canyon views and a few overlooks of the ocean. I saw whales on my last visit, but just the sun over the ocean would have been a nice enough view for me. If you get there early you can park for free... More

We arrived at the South Beach entrance of Torrey Pines at 11:05. There's parking on the street leading up to the entrance, but you would have to walk a decent way to get into the park and then onto the road up to the trails. At the south entrance, you have to pay a daily rate of $15 (Fri-Sun or... More

Enjoyed a nice hike along the water as well as up into the hills. Unfortunately it was a foggy day so missed some visual parts of the park.

Torrey Pines is a great place to walk. At low tide you can walk along the beach and take a path up the cliffs. Or you can walk up the road to the top of the cliffs and take the path down to the beach. Your choice. Great views of La Jolla and the ocean.

I am from Calgary Alberta Canada, We have the beautiful Rocky Mountains overlooking sprawling prairie land. There is no ocean, for this reason I can say that hiking the trails of Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve was one of the most beautiful days of hiking I have ever had. The almost desert like hills opening up to a breathtaking view... More
