Sweet Angel is a fully licensed Catalina 42 foot sailboat that we do skippered day charters on in San Diego for up to six people. Our Captain is a 100 ton Coast Guard licensed master with a sailing endorsement. The boat is safe, fast and comfortable and kept in first class condition. You can sit back and enjoy the sail or help sail and steer the boat. We only do private charters, so you will not be on our boat with strangers. Call for rates. We offer the best deal in San Diego. We also offer sailing lessons that stress cruising comfort and safety.

Established in 2009.

Captain Sandy has over 50 years of sailing experience and knows how to really make sure that his guests have a great time aboard. We have a history of giving first class service, on a first class boat. But our rates are reasonable and we think are the best in the San Diego Fleet.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 hour cruise around San Diego Bay. Booking was very easy with lots of communication with Sandy ( the captain). Free parking in the Sheraton and then a short walk to the marina and yacht. Sandy and his wife Marriane made us extremely welcome. Throughout the whole day they were very informative and were very focused... More

Last night we enjoyed one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. My husband and I and our two best friends took the sunset sail with Sandy and Marianne. It was an absolute first class experience! It is not like any other sightseeing trip, it is more like a visit with old friends that are giving you a... More

Sandy and Marianne are my grandparents and two of the kindest people in the world. I brought a friend down from L.A. when I was visiting the west coast and they gave us a wonderful day of sailing in the SD Bay on their Catalina 42'. They have decades of sailing experience and love what they do, which makes a... More

My wife, daughter, and I had such an amazing experience on the Sweet Angel. Captain Sandy and Captain Marianne were such amazing hosts. Sandy was easy to work with and provided a wonderful tour of San Diego. We saw Sea Lions, Naval Ships, and great city views. We chartered this boat to bury my father-in-laws ashes at sea. Capt Sandy and Admiral Marianne were very professional, even helping my 83 year old Mother-in-law board and disembark. The ship is very nice and comfortable the ride was very peaceful and serene. They were wonderful tour guides with great knowledge of the San Diego bay front. I highly recommend... More

We hosted a family from Kansas in San Diego during the Christmas 2014 holidays. Without a doubt, they enjoyed this more than SeaWorld, the Midway, Balboa Park, or any other attraction. Sandy and Marianne took great care to ensure that EVERYONE was well treated. The added bonus of a souvenir video was icing on the cake.

Words cannot express the sincere gratitude and thrill that we had on our recent sailing trip with Captain Angel! We ventured out with Sandy (we are sorry that Marianne couldn't join us due to babysitting duties :)) on a tour of the San Diego bay area. Right from the minute we met Sandy, his smile and hospitality told us that... More

We rented this boat with another family and had a great time on the boat. The crew of 2 was very friendly and inviting. They did allow you to bring on your own food and beverage which is a huge plus. The trip was for 3 hours around the bay and it was a lot of fun for all.

Sailing with Sandy and Marianne on Sweet Angel is AMAZING. The two of them are genuinely great people and the experience is second to NONE. My friend and I got to be the captain, were served yummy snacks and just had great conversations! If you are in San Diego and want to sail, look them up. You won't be disappointed!

I picked a beautiful day, best captain and boat to sail and whale watch in San Diego. The weather was perfect the seas were flat and the whales were amazing. Sandy, a skilled captain and his gracious wife, Marianne were outstanding hosts and made the afternoon spectacular. Every time we turned around we saw gray whales. The snacks and lunch... More
