We visited the park with one of the original founders of Chicano Park. What an amazing experience! Each of the over 100 murals tells a story....of pride, pain, resilience, faith, family, etc. It has been awarded Historical status and a museum is in the process...More

This is a very radical park. I am a blogger and a critic of the anti-American, pro-communist and pro-Chicano ultra nationalist murals in the park. The local extremists got wind that five of us were coming for a picnic and to discuss the murals in...More

The place was educational and entertaining. When we arrived, you could hear the drum beats to the Matachines. We visited on a weekday. Parked on the street. We bought snow cones from the ice cream truck and there was a paleta man selling popcycles in...More

This little park is really quite amazing and so worth to stop and see. The murals on the columns under the Coronado Bridge are just spectacular. This is an absolute must!!!

Each direction you go, the art work is amazing. The heritage of the people tell it all. The people are friendly, BBQ, 2 playgrounds, tribal gazebo with tribal dancing.

Located in barrio Logan underneath the Coronado Bridge it’s an amazing display. Wander around and look at all the pillars on all four sides. We happened to be there on Cinco de Mayo and there were food vendors all over the place as well as...More

Being a Mexican American from Texas, I was very happy to see this park full of historic and symbolic murals. We don't have anything like this in Houston! The depictions are vibrant and extend across the playground, under the freeway bridge, and into a small...More
